Words with the letter C

The letter C can be a clever asset in Scrabble when used strategically. Valued at 3 points, it offers more scoring potential than some of the more common consonants, without being as difficult to play as higher-point tiles like X or Q. One of the best ways to play C is by pairing it with high-frequency vowels like A or O to build words such as can, cop, or code. You can also use it to extend words: for example, turning are into care or old into cold. Keep an eye out for opportunities to create compound words or plural forms using C. While C isn’t used in many two-letter words, its role in creating longer, higher-scoring plays makes it an essential part of a smart Scrabble strategy.
