LinkedIn Wend Solver
Copy your Wend grid below, leaving the gray wall squares empty, and we'll find the four hidden words. Take a small hint or the whole answer.
How the Wend solver works
Copy today's grid into the squares above, one letter per square, and leave every gray wall square empty. When you press Solve, we trace every word that can run through the grid and find the four words that use every letter exactly once.
The answer stays hidden until you ask for it. Start with the first letter of each word, reveal one word at a time, or open the full answer to see each word traced on the grid in its own color.
Wend rules in brief
- Every puzzle hides 4 words: one each of 3, 4, 5 and 6 letters.
- A word runs through squares that touch up, down, left or right. It can turn corners, but it can't move diagonally or cross a wall.
- Every letter is used exactly once, so the four words fill the whole grid between them.
- You only know the word lengths at the start. Wend has its own hint button, and so does this page.
Strategy: how to solve Wend yourself
Start at the dead ends
A square with only one open neighbour can't sit in the middle of a word, because a word passing through it would need a way in and a way out. So it must be the first or last letter of a word. Squares tucked into corners or between walls are the best places to start.
Count what's left
Once you've found a word, look at the letters it leaves behind. Each separate patch of remaining squares has to hold whole words, so its size must match some of the lengths you still need. A patch of 7 squares, for example, can only be the 3-letter and 4-letter words together.
Look for long words along the edges
The outer ring of the grid often carries a long word around a corner. Read along the edges in both directions before you try twisting paths through the middle.
Think everyday words
The Wend answers we've checked have been familiar words like WIN, FOUND and WISDOM, not obscure Scrabble words. If a word you've traced feels unusual, it's probably not the intended one.
Frequently asked
Does this work for every Wend puzzle?
Yes, as long as the grid has 18 letters (3 + 4 + 5 + 6), which is how Wend is built. Choose a 6×6 grid above if your puzzle is bigger than 5×5.
Why did the solver say no words fit?
Usually a letter was typed into the wrong square, a wall square was given a letter, or a letter square was left empty. Check the grid against the game and try again.
Could the solver's answer differ from the game's?
Rarely. Our dictionary includes uncommon words, so now and then more than one set of four words fits a grid. We show the set made of the most common words first and list any others underneath.
