Ribbit Solver
Copy your Ribbit board below: type the 16 letters, then tap the gaps to draw the lines between them. We'll find every word you can trace. Take a small hint or every answer.
How the Ribbit solver works
Type the 16 letters from your Ribbit board into the circles, row by row. Then tap each gap where your board shows a line: side to side, up and down, or diagonal. A square can have both diagonals, just like the game. When you press Solve, we trace every path along those lines and check each one against our dictionary.
Every answer shows right away, grouped by length with the longest first. If you'd rather keep playing, use the hints below the answers instead: the starred word's length and first letter, how many words use each letter, or one word at a time.
Ribbit rules in brief
- Every board has 16 letters on a 4 by 4 grid, joined by lines that change every day.
- A word follows the lines from letter to letter and must be 4 or more letters long.
- The longest word, or words, in each puzzle gets a star. There's always at least one extra-long word.
- When you've found every word that uses a letter, that letter turns into a frog. Lines and letters you no longer need disappear.
- You're scored on how quickly you finish. If you press "I'm done" early, the score drops for each frog still hidden.
Why we split common and rare words
Ribbit's word list is everyday English. On the November 4, 2026 board it accepted AUTHENTICITY but rejected HENT and NITE, even though both are valid in Scrabble. So the answers we show are the common words, longest first, and the rare Scrabble words sit in their own section below. They're worth a try only if you've run out of ideas.
Strategy: how to solve Ribbit yourself
Hunt the starred word early
The starred word is long and uses many of the letters, so it often runs through the busiest part of the board. Once you find it, plenty of shorter words are hiding inside it. On the November 4 board, AUTHENTICITY also contains AUTHENTIC.
Follow the letters with few lines
A letter with only one or two lines can only sit at a few places in a word. Start from those and the possible paths shrink fast.
Use short words to clear the board
Ribbit has no hint button. Its own advice when you're stuck is to look for short words, because each word you find can remove lines or whole letters. A smaller board makes the last words much easier to spot.
💡 Mid-puzzle? Enter what's left
As you play, lines you no longer need disappear. If you enter only the lines still showing, the solver lists just the words you can still make on the board you have now.
Frequently asked
How do I enter the lines?
Tap the gap between two letters to draw a line there, and tap it again to remove it. For a diagonal, tap along the diagonal you want inside the square. A square can have both diagonals.
Why didn't Ribbit accept a word from the solver?
Our dictionary is the official Scrabble list, and Ribbit uses a smaller list of everyday words. We put common words first and move rare ones into a separate section, but a few borderline words may still differ. Also check that every line you entered matches your board.
Does Ribbit have hints?
No. Ribbit has no hint button, so this page gives you hints in steps: the starred word's length and first letter, how many words use each letter, and each word one at a time.
How long do Ribbit words have to be?
Four letters or more, traced along the lines on the board.
